For this project, we interviewed eachother in pairs and the challenge was to create a graphic portrait of your partner, without using their image as the cover. My partner was Rana, a graphic designer from Cairo, Egypt. I wanted to capture her style, which to me was very random and abstract, in the best way. So while experimenting I went through a range of colour schemes before landing on the red. I also wanted to feature both arabic and english in the layouts since Rana makes her designs in both languages.
The backgrounds were inspired by old techno flyers because I felt like that was the vibe which captured Rana’s energy.
